  • The Violin:

  • A bowed and stringed instrument with a shallow body, shoulders at right angles to the neck, a fingerboard without frets, and a curved bridge.

  • [D4]

  • The Saxophone:

  • One of a group of single-reed woodwind instruments; usually ranging from soprano to bass, and characterised by a conical metal tube and finger keys.

  • [D6]

  • The Drums:

  • A set of percussion instruments consisting (finitely) of: bass drums, kick drums, snare drums, high-hats, toms, ride cymbals, crash cymbals, splash cymbals, china cymbals, cowbells, and a drum tool or throne.

  • The Guitar:

  • A flat-bodied, stringed instrument with a long, fretted neck; played with a (guitar) pick or with fingers.

  • [D10]

  • The Trumpet:

  • A valved, brass-wind instrument consisting of a conical or cylindrical (usually) metal tube, a cup-shaped mouthpiece, two turns and a flared bell.

  • The Musical Notes:

  • A symbol denoting a musical sound; be that the sound itself, the pitch, pitch class or duration of a sound in musical notation.

  • The Piano

  • A musical instrument with steel wire strings, sounded when struck by felt-covered hammers operated from a keyboard.
